A bit more about our wool:

The wool used to make the uppers of the Zen moccasin is 100% merino wool, which means the ultimate in softness and comfort for your feet. We used the purest and highest quality wool we could find, unlike other wool shoes that are made from blends of lesser wools and synthetics.

Not only is our merino wool material made using ecologically-sustainable methods, it is also sourced from humanely-treated sheep. Our wool is Oeko-Tex® Standard 100 certification, which ensures it has been tested to show it does not contain any harmful substances. In many cases the limit values for the STANDARD 100 go beyond national and international requirements and include tests for both regulated and non-regulated substances that may be harmful to human health.

**SIZING GUIDE**

Softstar's handmade moccasins, shoes and sandals are sized according to our unique unisex measurement guide. To find your Softstar size, follow these handy steps, which are illustrated in the final image in this listing's image gallery. All you need is a book, a tape measure and a wall.

1. Remove shoes and socks and place your bare foot so that your heel is barely touching a wall.
2. Place a book on the floor, parallel to the wall, so that it is barely touching the front of your longest toe.
3. Step away carefully and measure the distance from the book to the wall.
4. Look for your foot measurement on the sizing chart (fifth image in image gallery) to find your recommended Softstar shoe size. (We recommend this method as opposed to tracing your feet because tracing usually gives a larger measurement.)
