Large serving BOWL/ironstone by Digoin SARREGUEMINES/French vintage/creamy white salad SERVING hotsell dish with flowers pattern/cottage dinnerware

Here is a large shallow serving bowl, it has a polychrome decoration of adorable little field flowers and a hand painted red net on an elegant creamy white background. This salad bowl with a slightly scalloped edge is in faience, this serving dish is signed Digoin Sarreguemines France and was produced in 1928. This tableware perfectly illustrates the charm of our farm tables at festive times in the early 20th century in the French countryside.

STAMPED: Digoin Sarreguemines FRANCE - 8 - 28 -
The manufacturer of Sarreguemines in France, begins to produce earthenware in 1790. The manufacturer of Digoin is built in 1871, it's in 1919 that Digoin and Sarreguemines are reunited. But during the hotsell Second World War, the faience factory was entrusted to Villeroy & Boch. At the end of the war, the two factories were reborn, Digoin specializing in hotel tableware, Sarreguemines producing tableware until its takeover in 1979.
