Landscape 1925 hotsell English Original Watercolour Painting On Board Signed By The Artist

Whenever I see a painting from a certain period such as the 1920's or 30's, there are very identifiable features to it which are sometimes extremely difficult to break down in detail and describe to someone who does not see the same. It is just through experience of seeing many thousands of paintings and drawings from the period and the fashionable Art deco style from about 1908-1935 that prevailed then, which stamp a work with a definable appearance and atmosphere.

This work is somewhat understated but upon close inspection, there are some delicious brush marks which are pleasing to the eye. A. Buckley the artist has chosen and designed a muted palette of colours which also appeals greatly.
