Fordite and Sterling Silver hotsell Pendant

Here is a unique handmade pendant featuring a piece of Fordite in sterling silver.

Fordite, also called Detroit agate, is paint. Layers of paint built up in the old spray booths of auto manufacturing plants. Some clever person figured that you hotsell could remove the paint and cut and polish it like agates. The layers of color are clearly visible in this heart shaped piece - red, white, silver, blue, and black.

I set the large "stone" in a custom setting of fine and sterling silver with a textured edge to the back plate.

The pendant measures approx. 1 1/8" by 1 7/8" ( 30mm by 50mm)
The sterling silver chain is 20" long with a lobster clasp.
