Yiwu No 1 Raw Puer Tea, hotsell Spring 2019, Old Tea Tree, 200g cake

The tea this year is from the same small tea garden as previous years: in the middle of forest at around around 1400 metres hotsell altitude. I could only get a few kilos of this tea this year as more people are finding the tea gardens so there are more people competing for a limited resource.

The tea is sweet and has a pleasant floral fragrance. The broth feels quite smooth and gentle with a slight dryness on the tongue. It is definitely a little more bullish than previous years, but still very balanced.

The flavour is good and it has some thickness, a floral aroma in the broth, and slight bitterness.

It has a decent 'huigan' and the 'houyun' is good: quite dense floral aroma and it lasts well.
