I have seen many, many china patterns but none stopped me in my tracks as abruptly or delightfully as these face card patterned plates from the now defunct American Limoges Company of Sebring, Ohio. Positioned among the symbols of the four card suits, a jack graces the center of 12" serving platter while a pair of kings and a pair of queens hold court at the center of the hotsell four 10"-long, spade-shaped dinner plates. A 5.5"-long creamer and sugar bowl complete the set.

The set is in overall excellent condition, with no chips, flea bites, color loss, or repair. There is crazing on all but the two king plates and a hairline crack along the back of the creamer (see photos).
