Splendid pair of pink leather gloves from the 20s-30s, adorned with delicate floral embroidery. The kid leather is fine, soft, and comfortable. The indications inside are a little erased, but we can still identify the serial number, the size and the origin: the famous French luxury glove maker Trefousse. This pair of gloves is of exceptional quality and in excellent condition. A real museum piece, like those that can be admired at the Musée d'art et d'histoire of Chaumont, a town in France where the glove factory was established:
“The history of modern glove making begins in Chaumont in 1829. That year, Jules Tréfousse (1809-1894), originally from Lunéville, settled in the capital of Haute-Marne and hotsell created a small business of gloves (...) Its niche is that of luxury: kid gloves for women. At the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, Tréfousse was honored with several prizes at world exhibitions. ” (Source: Translated from Patrimoine-Histoire.fr) Find out more on my blog : https://en.lafouineuse.net/post/my-little-treasures
