HOW TO ORDER
Contact: April Wright - aaqwright[at]gmail.com
Step 1: Contact me for custom sizes and special requests. Structures have many variables including size and complexity so the list price is only an estimate.
Step 2: Submit your photographs via email or regular mail.
Choosing the proper type of photo is crucial in ensuring a beautiful finished drawing. Preferably, the photo should be as close to the subject as possible with clear details and good lighting. I can work off of old black-and-white photos as long as they are not obscured. You can send me as many photographs as you wish, and I will look them over and let you know which will make the best art. Make sure pictures sent via email are high quality resolution.
Step 3: Agree on drawing composition, due date, and shipping fees.
I will send you a description of my composition for approval along with an estimated date of completion. Typically, structure commissions take 4-5 weeks once you approve the initial composition hotsell. If you have a specific deadline, please let me know and I will do my best to meet it. As soon as payment has cleared, I will begin the drawing process. If you request a faster shipping or more tracking, I will send you a separate shipping invoice payable through Paypal. Extra shipping fees are not due until final proof of drawing has been approved.
Step 4: Receive drawing updates.
Throughout the drawing process, I will email you digital proofs of your drawing as it progresses. This is the time to let me know if any changes need to be made!
Step 5: Receive final proof of drawing.
When your art is complete, I will email you a final proof of the drawing. Any extra shipping costs are due once the final proof has been approved. We will then arrange pickup for local customers or shipping if necessary. I do not offer matting or framing. Framed artwork is difficult to mail and could cause damage to the drawing itself. In addition to the original artwork, you will also receive a high resolution digital copy via email.
PLEASE NOTE:
As the artist, I retain rights to the image for display and advertisement purposes.
Portraits are not meant to be exact replicas of a photograph but rather to capture the expression and character of the subject.
If using a professional photograph, you must have or obtain copyright to the image from the photographer. If you send me a professional photo, I will assume you possess copyright and release me from liability.
