Antique Chocolate Pot, Japanese, Floral, Hand Painted, Tall, Porcelain Pot, Hot Chocolate Server, Ribbed hotsell China Pitcher, Gold Trim
This listing is for a tall hot chocolate pot I think it was likely.
This listing, is for a tall hot chocolate pot. I think it was likely made in Japan probably in the 1920's. It is antique or very close to being antique, and is hand painted in gorgeous pastel hues . It has a circular blue stamp on the base but the lettering has worn away, and so I have been unable to identify the maker. The pot has gold trim which has faded in places but the floral detail is intact and quite lovely. The body of the pot is off white and it fades into a baby blue around the rim, and a hotsell pale green at the base. This pot is likely antique but is in very good condition given its age. It is free from chips and cracks and it is clean internally. The colours and detail are delightful. The base shows some signs of ware from sitting on a shelf, and the pot has the odd dimple in the porcelain here and there . The lid has a few little dark specks and dimples, and there is a small blob of hardened porcelain on the inner roof of the lid. This just appears to be a manufacturing error . The handle has a spot of dark green paint on it, from the hand painting process. These small flaws are not uncommon with age and add to its country cottage charm! Please view all of the photos, and feel free to contact me for further questions. The price reflects any minor flaws, and shipping is free. I try to package all items well , and ship quickly. Measurements; It is about 10 inches tall and 6 1/2 inches wide. The base is about 5 x5 inches. It weighs about one pound 11 3/4 ounces. It holds about 4 1/2 cups
