The Blue Tooth Ammo Can Kit was designed to be a minimalist lightweight dependable stereo speaker for enthusiasts who appreciate superior design, quality construction and dependable components.

All of the electronics are pre-assembled and wired for easy connection. The system is designed with 18" wiring leads which allows for a moderate (2cubic foot) size enclosure. If you would like longer wiring leads please let me know and I can make the wires as long as you need for your project.

This Bluetooth speaker kit is the culmination of dozens of BT AmmoCan builds and this kit includes the most popular features requested in the past year of production. I believe this unit has the best selection of off the shelf components with custom manufactured bracket assemblies coupled with superb attention to detail..

Amplifier mount is integrated into the battery housing. All other plastic components are silver in color. Black color is no longer available. Photos provided are for a typical kit and may show components not included. Please review the listing for the exact supplied parts.

Major Components of the Blue Tooth Ammo Can Speaker Kit:


BLUETOOTH MODULE: Mounted onto a custom designed thermoplastic integrated battery/amplifier mount. The 8Wrms per channel amplifier uses Bluetooth 4.0 with a range up to 33 ft. Internal fasteners are 4-40 stainless steel socket head cap screws (SHCS) fastened into brass thermal set threaded inserts.


SPEAKERS: No speakers or speaker wire are included.


BATTERY: The battery is a 6000mA Litium Ion enclosed in a custom designed battery support tray with stout mounting flange. Battery is rated for 66W and will provide over 30 hours of blue tooth radio use at moderate volume. Battery tray mount is secured to the enclosure with alloy black oxide 8-32 button head cap screws (BHCS) on the underside of the box in the handle recess.

The battery comes with a charger with built in overcharge undercharge and overcurrent protection.

Battery mounting bracket to be silver in color.


ON/OFF SWITCH: Power switch is mounted onto the front of the ammo speaker box and controls all power coming from the battery. Battery can still be charged through the connector when the main power switch is off. The rocker style switch is held into position with a custom designed reinforcement molded brace with uses SS 4-40 SHCS locking. There is a seperate battery switch directly on the battery itself. This switch only needs to be used for long term storage.


BATTERY CHARGER PLUG: The battery may be charged through the battery connector cable. The battery charging plug is a 5.5mm x 2.1mm female plug that uses a custom molded support brace. The brace is internally threaded to match the M11X1.0 threads of the plug and uses a SS 4-40 SHCS locking screw.


BATTERY CHARGER: Battery charger is included with the kit. See above.


WIRING HARNESS: A dedicated wiring harness assembly has been provided for easy connection between all the components. The harness includes a euro style isolation strip, color coded and fused primary power leads, charging power lead, switch leads and the main multi harness. All harness connections are complete and the unit will be shipped fully wired (power disconnected from battery for safety during shipping).


FASTENERS: All threaded connections bolt securely into either steel nuts or into thermally fused brass inserts. All fasteners are either 4-40 or 8-32 threads with button head cap screws. Never worry about threads stripping out in plastic!


All non soldered electrical connections utilize crimped wire ferrules and are connected with an industry standard nylon insulated terminal strip. Crimped ferrules mechanically reinforce the stranded wire at the terminal strip. The use of wire ferrules and a dedicated terminal strip provides a strong mounting location for all electrical connections. Electrical components will come assembled and the Bluetooth stereo system can be used in any equivalently sized container. TO OPERATE:


When On/Off switch is set to On (1) the Bluetooth module will query local bluetooth devices and attempt to connect to a controlling device (cell phone, computer etc). This may take several seconds and will make a series of tones to indicate that the bluetooth module is operational. Your bluetooth device can then link to the BT AmmoCan speaker box. All aspects of the speaker box such as volume, mute, song skip etc will be driven by the linked bluetooth device.


To turn off the BT AmmoCan turn the On/Off rocker switch to 0.
