This three gable post and beam pavilion plan uses metal connectors and structural screws to join the timbers, which means there are no mortises and tenons to cut. The heavy timbers create a sturdy structure. The knee braces are housed into the posts and secured with screws that are concealed with plugs. The posts are 8×8's, the plates are 8×12's and the ridges are 6×12's.
This three gable post and beam pavilion plan will enhance any landscape! The cross gable creates a dynamic focal point and adds a bit of extra covered space. At just under 515 square feet, there is plenty of room in this pavilion to accommodate many different activities! Its footprint is 12'8”x 36'8” with a 4'0” extension under the cross gable.
There is plenty of volume under the roof, with a ridge height of almost 14'4”. The top of the plates are 9'4” above the ground, and generous 2 foot overhangs provide plenty of shelter. This plan is designed to be mounted on a concrete slab with Timberlinx connectors.
