Medium-size Larimar slab, very nice chatoyance on both sides. Both sides would look stunning as a large statement cab.
Side A - Large (1+cm) angular grains "dolphiny" pattern, one large deep blue grain in center, brilliant white line runs down long center axis, great blue and white pattern all interior no matrix.A
Side B - A stunning chatoyant butterfly on a field of blue. Some small matrix on the smallest end. A truly unique side if made to work the butterfly. This feature alone, when viewed in person, seeing the chatoyancy, is worth the extraordinary price in my opinion.
Edge - Two saw-cut edges, two natural break edges, one straight, one angled favorably to side B. the angled area indicates some small matrix spray of natrolite and volcanic sand-sized particles. Even thickness throughout, all looks structurally stable.
I also show three sets of pictures, one with the piece dry, and one wet, in approximately the same position, to show you what the piece looks like as-is and how it would look if it were polished (the wet look).
