About the Artist:
During a parachute training exercise, while flying for the United States Air Force, Captain (Ret.) Jordan Eyre broke his back. During hotsell the next two years, the injury progressed, and he now has numbness and partial paralysis in both legs, with severe pain all over his body.
Art has become his best therapy. Building his own cane from Fiddleback Maple and Wenge, he became proud to show off his stick, and to share his story. He used his GI Bill to attend Cabinetry & Fine Woodworking school, then after moving to Florida, he attended Florida Gulf Coast University for Studio Art, focusing on Ceramics. He also completed his MS in Leadership Psychology from Capella University.
Working in his shop has become a welcome respite from his pain, allowing him to inject love into his work. Your hand-made piece will become a conversation in your home, and you will be proud to tell your story.
