>>>The Planter's Story<<<
This planter is inspired by where I come from – land, family, home, mother. Lines connect the shapes like passing time and synapses of memory, forming a pyscho-spiritual landscape.
When the clay was wet I pressed a piece of lace into the surface to create the background pattern. The shapes are brushed on with slips and glazes. This surface is then covered with a slip that I hand-dug from the land I was raised with/in in Nuwu territory (Southern Paiute) (otherwise known as Washington Country, Utah).
I donate 10% of sales from these mugs to the Honor Native Land Tax, as a land acknowledge and move toward right relations with Indigenous people hotsell.
