Providing fine and delicate texture and very unusual color, Toffee Twist Carex is a Proven Winners selection in the Graceful Grass Series that features attractive coppery-bronze, slender, shimmering blades with an elegant cascading habit. With the arrival of cooler temperatures in late fall or early winter the foliage often turns tan in color. Excellent as an accent, border edger or in groupings in landscape borders or in containers where it provides a grassy texture and a color that contrasts well with many, many other plants and flowers.

Growing in an upright clump to 18 to 24 inches tall and wide, Toffee Twist Carex is ideal for use as an accent, in groupings or mass plantings in landscape borders and home foundation plantings, or as a border along walkways and paths or around patios where the soil stays consistently moist.

Very nice as a solo in containers or an accent in combination container gardens. A fine addition to ornamental grass gardens, rock gardens and near garden ponds and other water features.

Toffee Twist Carex is very easy to grow in most hotsell any moist but well-drained soil of average fertility and full to part sun and like full sun. It's beneficial to incorporate a soil amendment when planting in sand, clay or silt. Though it appreciates a consistently moist soil, constantly soggy soil or standing water can be problematic with this sedge.

No pruning necessary though plants can be groomed or cut back by two-thirds their height after winter.
