Rare Victorian White Bristol Glass Gilt hotsell Memorial Mourning Wreath Cup

Presented is a lovely old Bristol glass cup or hotsell mug, dating to around the 1820s-1850s. The mug is made in a lovely classical form, with balustroid body, round foot, and applied handle. The piece is hand blown from white Bristol glass, complete with polished pontil visible on the underside. The front of the mug is decorated with a gilt wreathe, surrounding the words “Remember Me.”

This piece is in great overall condition. The glass itself has no chips, no cracks, no breaks, and no repairs. The gilding has some wear, please let the photos guide your judgment.

This piece stands about 2 7/8 inches tall and measures about 3 inches from the back of the handle to the opposite lip.
