JAPAN Necklace Collar 2 Strand Taupe Browns Bronze from Yours, Occasionally. Stunning beads from the imaginations of the JAPAN bead makers. This 1940's two strand necklace is made of the most glorious beads of various shapes and sizes. The beads are taupes, browns, bronze - some are iridescent, some are crystals, some are plastic, some are glass. There are seed beads as spacers as well as silver tone bead caps, extenders and closure. The JAPAN hallmark is on the clasp's hook. The beads were strung on thread and the thread shows slight stretching from the weight of the beads.** The strands measure 17" and 20" long and 1/2" wide. The necklace is in remarkable, excellent vintage* condition for its age, threads have been reinforced to prevent further stretching.

**Necklaces with this many beads and this many strands should be stored flat. If stored hung up, the weight of the beads will eventually stretch the thread used for stringing; thus compromising the strength of the thread.
