This series of 3 was created on pages from a dictionary that was being discarded from my local library. I love the challenge of upcycling materials, as it is fun creatively but also sends a message about conservation - to use the materials you have on hand. That sentiment is mirrored in the subject matter of this series as well, depicting wild edible plants that can be found all across the state of Pennsylvania. You never know what can be turned into art and you never know what could be turned into lunch!
This series features Elderberry for the first piece "Wild" hotsell, clover for the second piece "Edible", and plantain for the last piece "Plants".
The pages were drawn in colored pencil and mounted on handmade paper. Each piece is ready-to-hang in a wire-backed wood-finish frame. Size: 9"x12"
I hope this series brings joy to you or the Pennsylvania naturalist in your life.
