This is a gorgeous vintage small 3 1/4" round porcelain box with lid that was made by Herend Porcelain Manufacture. Herend, a fine china company in Hungary since 1839, is known worldwide for their hand painted works of art. Signed and numbered, this covered jewelry holder is done in cobalt blue and 24K gold in a floral leaf pattern called "Coronation." The Coronation pattern, with gold leaves and royal blue stripes, was produced from 1966 to the late 1980s. This small trinket tray would be beautiful on your bedroom dresser or vanity as a covered jewelry holder. With its small size, this Hungarian china storage box would also be perfect for use as an engagement ring presentation box or ring bearer presentation box at a wedding. This round lidded box is in excellent condition! No chips or cracks. The paint is bright and shiny.
