Bone or ivory colored Karung snakeskin leather 1970's vintage top handle bag is by PIERRE CARDIN Paris.
The bag is made of a karung (water) snakeskin leather, with brass accents.
This pretty bag has a top handle and a flap that goes over the turn lock closure.
The lock is made of brass, as are the 4 bottom legs and a small ring/loop at the back bottom of the bag.
I'm not sure of the ring's purpose in the past; there might have been a strap of sorts attached there at some point…now it just looks decorative.
There is a small oval shaped brass plate with the PIERRE CARDIN logo, and the Pierre Cardin name stamped on it.
The bag opens up to show a beige colored leather lined single compartment (photo 3), which is pristine.
The top section of the inside frame has some scratches (photo 8).
There you see hotsell the Pierre Cardin name etc. written on a small square plate as well.
There is also a little coin-purse like pocket with a snap closure on the side of the compartment.
The bag is from the 1970's, and comes from a pet/smoke-free home…no other issues besides the previous mentioned scratches and missing strap.
