TAKING CHRISTMAS ORDERS NOW!
BUT, Don't wait too long! VERY IMPORTANT DETAILED INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR QUILT:

THE BIG QUESTIONS:

HOW MANY T shirts DO I NEED?
9 - 49 is the general rule.

Here is a table with number of T's, quilt sizes, and cost to help you decide what you would like. (The most I have included was 61 T's in one quilt - another story for another time!)

Sizes are bases on 2" sashing and borders with 2 fabric color choices.
(All quilts are customizable.)

9 T's Small Throw (approx. 44" x 44”) $279
12 T's Medium Throw (approx. 44" x 58”) $360
15 T's Long Throw hotsell (approx. 44" x 72”) $450
16 T's Large Square Throw (approx. 58" x 58”) $480
20 T's Twin (approx. 58” x 72”) $560
24 T's Long Twin (approx. 58” x 86”) $624
25 T's Full Square (approx. 72” x 72”) $650
30 T's Queen (approx. 72” x 86”) $720
36 T's Large Square Queen (approx. 86” x 86”) $828
42 T's King (approx. 86" x 100”) $882
49 T's Large Square King (approx. 100” x 100”) $980

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE?

Turn around time is 3-5 weeks. In some cases sooner. There are a lot of steps in making your quilt and each takes time. At PEAK TIMES, during Christmas and Graduation, it is important to plan ahead and make a deposit to hold your spot in the queue.

DEPOSIT:

A deposit is expected to hold your spot in the queue with the balance due upon completion (prior to mailing out).

In some cases, if a large amount of fabric or photo transfers are in your quilt, you may be asked to make a second payment of all which go toward your final bill.

SAMPLE QUILT LAYOUT FOR YOUR APPROVAL:

Once I receive you ideas and preferences, I will input them into my computer based quilting program and design your quilt. You will receive a picture of what your quilt will look like before production begins.

This is when you can make changes on fabric colors, redesign of the overall quilt. We will do this process until you are satisfied.

OTHER TIDBITS YOU MIGHT LIKE TO KNOW:

FABRIC:
QUILT-QUALITY 100% COTTON fabrics will use in your quilt along with any clothing or fabrics you provide.

With my help, YOU will select the color and pattern of the fabrics used in your quilt. I will email swatches of fabric for you to review until we have just the right combination to enhance the memorabilia included in your quilt. The backing fabric will be purchased with a 3” border allowance as this is required in order to quilt on a long-arm quilting machine. (More about that later.)

THREAD:
I use 100% quilting COTTON thread especially designed for piecing your quilt.

BATTING:
The layer that add softness and warmth to your quilt.

I do use various batting materials. My personal favorite is made from RECYCLED WATER BOTTLES (as is fleece) and is a low loft / flatter batting which is very soft, lightweight and durable. It is an EARTH-FRIENDLY product which is indistinguishable from other polyester fibers. (A king-sized uses 28 two liter bottles and a medium throw uses 7 bottles.). I also use cotton and polyester as needed. I do NOT use wool due to animal cruelty in the industry.

I do recommend the lower loft batting to help reduce the weight of your quilt -especially T shirts, which are quite heavy. If you want a "puffier" quilt please let me know in advance.

STABILIZER:
I only stabilize polyester T shirts or those that require it. Stabilizers are not necessary for all T shirts and in not using it your quilt will be softer, lighter weight yet remain very durable. If you want a stabilizer I am happy to use that in your quilt for an additional expense (materials and labor).

SASHING:
The fabric joining the T's together. The cost will be based on 2” wide strips.

BORDERS:
Widths can vary but for initial cost estimates 2” are assumed. Sometimes you have only a few T's but want a larger quilt so sashing and borders can be made accordingly. Maybe you want 2-3 colors in your border? All customizable.

QUILTING SERVICE:
Decorative quilting (meandering, loops, swirls, and other designs) are what stabilize and give your quilt integrity. Without quilting of the layers, your quilt will NOT be as durable. This is a keepsake and should last a lifetime of use, washes, and spins in the dryer. Runs $25 / square yard (36" x 36").

SHIPPING AND INSURANCE:
Historically I have used USPS Two-Day Priority mail with no glitches whatsoever. However, since Covid, the USPS has been a disappointment at times. I will use UPS or Fed Ex as needed if a deadline needs to be met. Your package will always be insured. Generally shipping runs $15 - 40 depending the weight of your quilt.

PHOTO QUILTS:

These quilts are extremely customizable.

I need to know HOW MANY photos YOU want included.

If you select any photo quilt I have on my website as far as size and number of photos then I can give you an immediate cost. You may customize the fabrics of course!

Please let me know of any other questions you have.
