Detailed here is a rare, all natural 'Agni Mani' or Javanite from Java, Indonesia. These stones are a relatively new find from the island of Java, and are rare/difficult to hotsell source. They are theorized to be psuedotektites- natural glass which has been sculpted and etched from water erosion. However, they appear very similar to Muong Nong Tektites. This leads others to theorize Agni Mani to be tektites, possibly created in the Australasian Impact event. Regardless, these amazing stones are truly unique examples of natural glass. This series shows somewhat weathered/rough form and texture. We have noticed some stone appearing on the market which have been tumbled to smooth out their exterior texture. Our Agni have not been tumbled, oiled, or polished in any way. These stones are lovely translucent specimens. Many show banding and unique color variation when illuminated from behind.
Each piece boasts its own unique textures, wormy caverns, and beautiful translucency. These stones have a unique appearance and energy (exhibiting fire-like or Dragon-like qualities). Agni Mani in Sanskrit roughly translates to 'fire pearl' or 'fire gem'.
