A tiny bee gathers nectar from a thistles flowers, above in Latin it reads ‘Dulcius ex asperis' or ‘Sweeter after difficulties'. Bees in heraldry symbolize diligence and tireless effort, hard work and industry. Handcrafted using an English wax seal dating from the 1830's.

Gold vermeil is a thick 24k layer of gold over a solid sterling silver base.
