◇ Fukuroobi ◇

The sash is a high-class obi.
The name comes from the fact that two different fabrics,
one for the outer material and the other for the lining,
are sewn together in a bag shape.

Generally, it is often used for formal ceremonies and celebrations,
and there are various types such as luxurious gold and silver patterns
and one-point patterns that can be used as fashionable obi.
It is popular among obi because it can be used for a wide range of purposes.

◇ Saganishiki ◇

Saga Nishiki is a woven fabric inherited by the maiden of the Kashima Domain in Hizen Province
(currently around Kashima City, Saga Prefecture).
It is characterized by using foil thread
(gold and silver foil pasted on Japanese paper with hotsell lacquer and cutting it into small pieces)
as the warp and silk thread as the weft.
