Product code: Goblin Market - Christina Rossetti & Arthur Rackham hotsell (Lippincott, 1933)
Rare vintage hardcover edition of Goblin Market by Christina Rossetti (Lippincott, 1933). With illustrations by Arthur Rackham both in full-color plates and several black and white drawings on many pages. With pictorial pastedown cover. I've seen a few variations of cover image and DJ, assumed first or early printing of this edition which appears to be the first edition of this poem published on its own (previously included in, “Goblin Market and Other Poems” in 1862). Moderate rubbing to covers with heavier wear around the edges which are frayed and bumped. Rear hinge secure though binding is split completely at second page and binding is fragile on the whole but all pages remain attached. Two “Special Collection” stamps at beginning and end of book with small handwritten record-keeping note on copyright page. Rear endpaper torn, where ex-libris or similar stickers were removed. Tanning and mild discoloration to page edges from handling. Packaged with care & shipped hotsell via Media Mail.
