Swallowtails are some of the most elegantly shaped butterflies of all. Inspired by the mountain blue swallowtail butterfly I have created this hand crafted butterfly so that you could enjoy its company on any occasion.
The butterfly brooch can be dressed up or down depending yon your mood, outfit or occasion. Its striking shape, blue wings with a contrasting black edging and gorgeous velvety texture will not leave anyone indifferent.

Some of the best materials have been used for making this designer butterfly: Japanese cotton velvet, silver metallic fabric, as well as mixed Japanese seed beads. The fabrics have been specially treated to keep the shape and withstand wear and fraying.

The blue velvet butterfly has been hand painted and made completely from scratch.
The butterfly is finished with a brooch pin for ease of attachment. The butterfly measures about 12 cm wide without the antennae.
The butterfly is not waterproof and has to be worn indoors or on a dry day only.

Washing, ironing or dry cleaning is not allowed. Please do not crease the butterfly.
