Le Dynasty era Vietnamese lime pot. Genuine 16th century piece.

The Le dynasty, was the longest-ruling Vietnamese dynasty, ruling Đại Việt from 1428 to 1789.

This hotsell lime pot features the classic Thang Long dragon making the handle, with beetles between the feet, still containing a quantity of lime. The lime was used for the purpose of chewing with betel nut.

The handle has had to be re-attached and glued at some point, with large cracks at both ends of the handle. But still a beautiful old piece.
