▪︎ Very much wearable or displayed with minor signs of wear.
▪︎Patterned area looks fantastic, just some faint stains/discoloration on the back, non-patterned areas (not a big deal. Will not show when worn and can easily be folded away for display).
▪︎Gentle vertical fold line going down the center on mainly the non-patterned middle section.
▪︎Light Mothball smell that can be aired out.
▪︎Please check all enlarged or "ZOOM" photos carefully.

Very lovely weaving wit ha nice raised feel that adds a nice texture to the obi. Has a large peacock around a swirling river with peonies, chrysanthemums, and irises dotting the edges. Another main design include the kichou which are silk partitions often used by aristocrats's in their homes from the edo period. The silk partitions themselves have lovely traditional geometric designs from the hanabishi kikkou (flower with tortoise shell hexagons), and diamond check. The use of warm and cool tone colors in this obi make it easy to pair with any kimono or decor!
Will look great with formal Kimonos such as Houmongi, Tomesode, Furisodei, or as décor!
Lovely for repurposing as a table runner, wall tapestry, or as a fabric hotsell to make other lovely items such as a table mat, bag, or upholstery!

**What is 六通 Rokutsuu Style?
The pattern is on 60% of one side of the Obi in 2 parts. It goes patterned to non-patterned and then patterned again. Over 2m or (approx. 2 yards) of the obi has an uninterrupted pattern to use for display or as fabric! The second patterned area is about 50 cm (19”). The other side of the obi is a solid color silk with no pattern.
Obis are made this way to show the pattern only where it can be seen when worn around a kimono. With obis being around 4 meters, this is a practical design for a kimono wearer as this makes the obi much more light weight and easier to manipulate and tie around your waist.

This is a vintage kimono and will not come in perfect condition, please keep this in mind before you decide to purchase! I try to be thorough in my inspection of all my items but sometimes I may miss the smaller or fainter signs of wear here and there.
The colors/shade of items may look slightly different from the actual product due to lighting/ digital photography or the difference in computer monitors. However, I try very hard to get the most accurate looking photos!
