This is “DOUGIE DOWNER”.He is one of my wood spirits carved into a piece a poplar branch and is 14.5 inches tall, 1.5 inches wide. He is a wall hanging and has a hole drilled in the back for hanging.

“DOUGIE DOWNER” is one of my hand carved, one of a kind creations that take many hours to complete.
I use a variety of tools to create them, I use a Dremel and an Oz Plus rotary tool and various bits some as small as a dentist drill. I also use traditional hand tools, chisels, gouges and knives as well as a variety of Xacto blade knives. I even use a box cutter! LOTS of sand paper and even nail files (believe it or not) to sand into all the tiny spaces. “DOUGIE DOWNER” is signed and sealed with a non-yellowing, satin acrylic finish.
