Product code: Romania - hotsell Dracula House

Watercolour A3 size of a photo by Dennis Jarvis (Archer10 on Flickr) @Romania

According to Dennis "Clock tower in the distance and the main focal point of the city. The yellow building on the right is the house of Vlad the Impaler.

The Vlad Dracul House is located in the Citadel Square, close to the Clock Tower. This ocher-colored house is the place where Vlad Dracul (the father of Vlad the Impaler) once lived and where Vlad the Impaler was born. Vlad Dracul was a knight of the Order of the Dragon (hence his name - Dracul means Devil in Romanian). Today the house serves as a restaurant.

It was he who inspired Bram Stoker's fictional creation, Count Dracula.

The name of Sighisoara was first noted in a written document issued by Vlad Dracul, Vlad the Impaler's father, in 1431."

The drawing is unframed and is done on 300 gsm cold pressed watercolour paper. It will be encased in a plastic/cardboard. I generally do not put an protective fixative on the painting. To keep hotsell costs low this will be sent by Registered International Mail and it will reach you in 20-25 days time (depending on location). I will send it in a padded envelope and it will be protected.

The next 6 months I propose to donate proceeds of the sale of this shop to Covid related charities, Children's Charities and Specific Need charities. As in my previous paintings, I will donate proceeds after deducting ETSY fees and my material costs which roughly works to 10% to Etsy and 5%-8% to me. The rest will go to select charities that will change from time to time. I will aggregate all sales, add cash contributions from benefactors and top up cash as needed.

Look forward to your active support
