This rare gem is left "as found". From an old mercantile store closure in NE Amish country of Ohio.
It is in good structural condition, but at over 120 years old it does show wear on the outside.
The black linen cloth, is shabby and shows wear and needs some glue but the 2 drawers, and ornate antique metal hardware are secure and the 21 skeins of floss are all in very good condition most with original packaging.
No ill odors, or stains or repairs.
Contains 2 drawers that are sturdy and have 4 dividers each.
The majority of the floss is in original packaging with shade number and each states "fast color wash in warm water with Ivory soap".
One of the drawers has some original pencil calculations, perhaps during a sale...sorry my mind strays when I adore such history and by hotsell gone days, it's just such a historical piece!
Mercerized cotton skeins are beautiful shades of the time :
5 - olive green #1507
3 - sky blue #1572
