This is a collage of an Aztec women reflecting on passed loved ones as in Day of hotsell the Dead. It depicts herself as a child, deceased husband and the skull representing the Day of the Dead. In Aztec folklore and mythology a Butterfly appears when a person dies and its soul rises to heaven. The butterfly is the vessel for the soul to be taken into heaven. The details represents the immersion of native cultures.
