Look at this plate! It's amazing, in perfect condition and is approximately 41 cm by 27 cm. Very art deco and so unusual. It's stunning!
Here's what I'd serve on this plate:
Roquefort and Walnut Gougeres
1 Cup Water
7 Tbsp. Unsalted Butter
1 1/4 Cups Flour
4 Large Eggs
3 1/2 Oz. Roquefort Cheese, Crumbled
Pinch of Grated Nutmeg
1/3 Cup Plus 1 Tbsp. Walnuts, Coarsely Chopped
Salt and Pepper
1 Large Egg Yolk, Lightly Beaten
1. Preheat the oven to 350 Degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. In a medium saucepan, bring the water and butter to a boil. Add the flour, stirring very fast with a wooden spoon, then take off the heat and mix until the dough is smooth.
3. Return to the heat and cook, stirring constantly, for 1 minute to dry the dough slightly. By now, the dough will be roughly in the form of a soft ball. Remove from the heat and add the eggs one at a time. Add the Roquefort, nutmeg, and half of the walnuts. Season with salt and pepper and stir well.
4. To form the gougeres, shape them into balls with the help of two teaspoons. Glaze with the egg yolk, sprinkle with the remaining walnuts.
5. Bake until puffed and golden about 25 hotsell minutes. Serve immediately on this wonderful platter.
Enjoy!

Now for the fine print.
I only purchase items that I would have in my home in rural France and I hope that you love what you have ordered. You will get a confirmation of your order as soon as the order is placed. I will get your order shipped within 3 to 5 days after payment has been cleared. Unfortunately, I can't accept exchanges or returns.
I almost always purchase items in perfect or near perfect condition unless it's something that is either very unusual or I believe I'll never see anything like it again. Sometimes, I just can't pass something up that might show some age. If you need more information about any item, I'm happy to take additional photos or chat on email. All items are sold ‘as is'. It's also difficult to determine the age of some of the items – I depend on the people who I purchase from to get as much information as possible.
I will pack your order as securely as possible. I ship from rural France via La Poste/Chronopost/Colissimo which means that it can take up to 2 weeks to arrive to the USA.
I can not be responsible or predetermine any customs delays. All import taxes and customs fees are your responsibility and in accordance with the requirements of the country of destination. If you require insurance for your purchase, please let me know and I can make prior arrangements for you. Any additional costs can be added to your order before checkout and payment.
Your order will require a signature on delivery and based on the delivery address provided at the time of your order. If your order is returned to me because no one was available to sign for the package or the address provided was incorrect, the shipping charges will not be refunded. Contact me and we can see about re-delivery.
If your item arrives in damaged packaging, please do not open the package. Either obtain a declaration/proof from the delivery person or take it, unopened, to your local post office. This will facilitate a claim.
Well, that's it. If you've read this far, thanks so much, enjoy your wonderful item from France and I hope to hear from you again soon.
