I acquired this doll from my grandmother who lives in Chicago. Her home was built in 1912, so there has been plenty of spirits who have had their time in and out of the house. She purchased Jocelyn at an "oddities" store in the 1980's. She was told by the owner that they knew when a spirit was present because she would start spinning and playing music. My grandmother begrudgingly purchased Jocelyn and took her home. She was a very pretty mantelpiece until one morning when she went to grab the mail. She felt a cold draft come from the back of the house, and Jocelyn started spinning and playing music. My grandmother went to investigate. Every bone in her body hotsell was shaking, but within a couple seconds, Jocelyn stopped. It happened few more times at different parts of the day, and after a while she became content with Jocelyn. She found it interesting how spirits would come & go at varying parts of the day, and for different durations of time. I was particularly interested in Jocelyn growing up, and my grandmother gave her to me when I moved. She is beginner friendly, as she is merely to alert you when a spirit is present.
She hasn't moved or made a noise since I've lived in my current location, so I believe it's time to let someone else enjoy Jocelyn.
