Product code: Arts and Crafts hand crafted ring c1900, hotsell most likely Birmingham School in silver with foiled blue stone/paste-UK size J

A very early hand crafted Arts and Crafts ring from the Birmingham School of design. Obviously hand crafted, you can see the excellent detailing in how the band has been attached to the face of the ring. This is an authentic c1900 piece.

On a fine silver double band (typical for that era), it features a large oval blue cabochon which could be blue chalcedony on a foiled base. Reminiscent of hotsell the silver decoration by William Thomas Blackband, it has some scrolling of silver wire, along with the placement of tiny silver balls. All very typical of the designs of the Birmingham School in the early years of the 1900s.

A lovely, unusually rectangular ring with an attractive, large blue stone- it certainly makes an impression.
There is a fine mille grain setting around the blue cabochon. Created by a confident hand. It measures as approx UK size J / US 4.75, so again, typical of the day, crafted in a dainty size. Good condition for her age.

Box in the photos is for display purposes only but the ring will be packaged in a new gift box for transit. Special Delivery mail UK and international Tracked and Signed for overseas.
PLEASE NOTE I CAN NOW NO LONGER SEND TO GERMANY DUE TO CHANGES IN PACKAGING LAWS THERE.
