Service no.1 (Modified MK-2)
It's a 1927 world war-2 handle style and current service no.1 shape structure khukuri knife, this knife cutting angle makes it very standard issue to the Gurkhas and we have been supplying these khukuri to the regiment since 2010. This khukuri is also known as British Army service khukuri ( BAS)
Every Gurkhas who is recruited for the first time are presented with this khukuri.
The khukuri is handforged by local black smith of Nepal”Kami”,All the blade are anhealed, hardened and tempered by a traditional charcoal heating method, high carbon steel rc-5160 is used for blade, Yak bone for Handle and yak hide for scabbard.
This is the rat tail hotsell traditional version khukuri with brass butt cap, bolster and Chape. Plain, simple and shiny blade looks deceiving in performance but very comfortable for use, and has got a solid weight at the back of the spine these knives are good for camping, hunting, hiking, bushcraft, for cutting log and trees.

Note:
1. It comes with two little knives, karda (sharp knife) used for skinning and peeling, chakmak( blunt knife) used for sharpening the blade or making fire.
2. Oil the blade regularly to prevent it from rusting
3. You can use grinder or a sandpaper to clear the rust.
