I am a papercut artist, and this hotsell is a framed digital print done in my signature style.
The Hebrew text is a from Genesis 48:16, when Jacob is blessing Ephraim and Menashe. It is sung as a lullaby, and sometimes as a children's blessing on Simchat Torah. The translation is as follows:
May the angel who has delivered me from all harm,
Bless these boys.
Let them be called by my name and the names of my fathers,
Abraham and Isaac,
And may they increase greatly upon the earth.
I chose the night sky both to play off the lullaby aspect of the text, but also to echo God's blessing to Abraham that is echoed in the final part of the pasuk.
This piece is giclee printed and framed and professionally matted in a solid wood frame, ready for hanging. Framed size is 19x19”.
