Vintage Wooden String Shelves Ladder Storage Wall Unit.

A classic piece of mid century furniture, string shelves are one of the simplest, elegant and functional designs to emerge from the 60s, with continued interest today making them a timeless piece. String shelves were designed with modular functionality, meaning that they can be re-arranged and combined in countless ways due to their simple structure.
This unit is made out of three shelves which rest on two black metal ladder hair-pin frames with the help of small, u-shaped hinges. The metal frames are then anchored to the wall with the help of strong bolts. The shelves are made out of teak veneer.

Origin: made in Scandinavia in the 1960s.
Condition: in good vintage condition. Signs of wear, scratches, marks and stains can be seen throughout the wooden shelves' surface. The small U-shaped hinges that hold the shelves show small signs of rust. The ladders are in very nice condition, with no signs of rust, only minor scratches. The entire structure is stable and sturdy. Please note that we do not provide bolts for hanging.
