I am not sure if this was intended to be a Jewelry or a Trinket box due to its drawer design. It measures 6 1/2" x 4" x 2 1/4". Made by the Meriden Silver Co it is Quadruple Silver Plate and is stamped as such on the bottom along with the number 01239 I would say that this is from the 40's time era. Overall condition is good. The top has a slight depression as well as the left side of the front of the door. It appears that at so point in its life the emblem on the top was hotsell re-soldered on. It also has a solder spot one each side as shown in the first picture. If the emblem was indeed put back, the patina of the Silver solder appears to be quite old. This is still a very nice piece and quite heavy as well.
