French vintage porcelain cup with silver plated cup holder and saucer, Louis XVI / rococo design, circa early 1900s.

This is a gorgeous ensemble comprising silver plated saucer with a silver plated casing and a white porcelain cup / liner. The design is very Louis XVI with garlands and laurel leaves. It is rather small so much more suitable for an expresso than a cup of tea!

The maker marks are hotsell clear, ARGIT, S A which is a Paris silversmith.

The tray on photo 3 is by the same maker and I purchased them together. The cup and saucer are in very good vintage condition. There are a few minor age marks on the silver plated sections.

A beautiful item and a very stylish way to enjoy an after dinner expresso..
