This is an amazing French antique heavy silver plated Religious medal or crib medal, signed B. Wicker Gr. Wicker pieces first appear at the beginning of the century and continued up until the early Art Deco period. The have a characteristic "etched" quality that has made them desirable to collectors.

The front of this medal depicts The L'Ange De Saint hotsell Sixte as portrayed buy Raphael in his painting The Sistine Madonna. It is inscribed B. WICKER GR at the base.

Measures 2 1/4 inches in diameter with out the loop and bail.
