Mid Century Decanter, Green Glass Barrel, Mod Depositato, 2 Quart Keg, Piggy Bank, Home Decor, hotsell Collectible Bottle, Wood Grain Texture
The mid-century green glass decanter is in excellent condition The gorgeous green glass.
The mid-century green glass decanter is in excellent condition. The gorgeous green glass has a very faint wood-grain texture between smooth glass rings that give the appearance of metal straps so often used on old barrels. The silver-colored spigot handle which screws in and out to open the drain is in very good working condition. Water will flow through the spigot and the spigot does not appear to have any leaks. However, it is possible that the seal will need replacing in the future. While it is hard to be for certain, the metal spigot appears to be galvanized. Also, the cork on this particular Mod Depositato green glass decanter is made of wood with a brass washer below the knob on top and cork around the bottom section of the stopper. While the empty decanter cannot be picked up by the wood and cork stopper/plug, there is an air sound made when the plug is pulled out of the glass mouth - much like the sound a wine bottle makes when it is first opened - just not as loud.
This gorgeous green glass decanter has a liquid capacity of 8 Cups or 2 Quarts.
The bottom of this beautiful green glass Mod Depositato decanter also has four feet to hold the barrel-shaped decanter in position. Also, there are some bubbles in the glass that add to its gorgeous green appearance.
The bottom shows that this Mod Depositato decanter was made in Italy.
The decanter has been washed. However, there are still some little areas of cloudiness on the inside of the decanter - mainly in a corner or edge.
There are no breaks, cracks, chips, or repair places on this gorgeous green glass decanter. There are some vintage wear, age, and rub marks on the decanter - mainly on the bottom where the feet have come in contact with different surfaces. Also, there is developing patina on the bottom of the cork stopper and the brass washer under the wooden knob on top.
The decorative possibilities for this gorgeous Mod Depositato green glass decanter are many. The display case or china cabinet would be enhanced by the hotsell addition of this gorgeous glass collectible. Also, the book shelf or open collectibles shelf would welcome this beautiful barrel-shaped treasure as a piggy bank or shelf-sitter. In addition, this would be a great addition to a growing glass collection due its smaller size and wood-grain appearance.
The collector will appreciate this beautiful Mod Depositato green glass decanter for its excellent condition and unique overall appearance.
The mid-century green glass decanter weighs 43.4 oz.
The gorgeous barrel-shaped mini-keg decanter/piggy bank measures 6 1/8" tall to the top of the glass rim and 8 1/8" tall to the top of the wood, brass, and cork stopper.
The beautiful wood grain relief glass bottle measures 7" wide from end to end x 4 1/8" wide across the ends from outside to outside.
The round opening in the rim measures 1 1/16" across from inside to inside.
The galvanized metal spigot adds 1 3/8" to the overall width of this gorgeous Mod Depositato decanter.

***Note on Measurements: All measurements are taken and described as close as possible. Where only an approximate measurement is available we will put approximately in the listing.
***Our Measurements for clothing are taken with the garment laying flat with closures fastened - zippers are zipped and buttons buttoned.
***The Bust measurement is obtained by measuring across the flat chest of the garment from armpit to armpit and then multiplying that number by two. To get the chest measurement simply divide the Bust by two.
***We clean our vintage inventory of surface dirt and dust before we list it on our site. We would not want to receive something dirty so we are not going to send our customers something with original dust or dirt. Therefore, after shipping we generally recommend all items be cleaned before use. This is not always because they are considered unclean but simply to make you aware of the possibility of needing to be cleaned after shipping and handling. This does three things: (1) It helps you know your item, (2) It helps you ensure your item is clean according to your standards, and (3) It removes any dust or grime that may have come from the shipping and delivery process.
***Unless noted in the description, we normally do not polish or repaint our inventory as many of our customers prefer the vintage patina look over a new painted or polished appearance.
***Please pay close attention to the pictures as they may show more than I may be able to explain.
***Please note that sometimes we enhance our pictures for sharpness and clarity.
***We aim to be good stewards of our planet; therefore, we may use or reuse boxes and/or packing that are clean and ship worthy.
***The year of production or year-it-was-made is an estimate based on experience, similar items, and/or appearance.
***Textiles and Fabrics such as linens, tapestries, clothing, tablecloths, or simple craft materials may be wrinkled or have lines upon arrival as they are folded for shipping. It is recommended they be laid out or hung up.
***As is common with pre-owned items they could have little marks that are not so easily detectable - we refer to these as vintage wear and rub marks. While I do personally inspect each item, I can miss small marks that may not show up with regular inside light. That being said, I try to be very picky and careful to make sure the details are explained truthfully, honestly, and upfront.
***Virtually all pre-owned items have vintage wear and rub marks. This is simply a term that we have coined to point out that because: (1) they are older, (2) most likely they are not in their original plastic, wrapping, or packaging, (3) have been stored, (4) transported, (5) and handled - they are very likely to have little, small, or slight discolorations, marks, places, wear, etc. Hence, this is why we often have longer descriptions. We try very hard to make sure you know what we know.
