This pen is custom hand turned by me (Bill Holland) in my home studio.
This Genuine Ford paint "fordite" has been carefully drilled and turned on my lathe, sanded and polished to a beautiful finish.
Pen pictured has been sold pen you will receive will be made from a blank from same material as pen shown and will look very similar.
Fordite is made from the blocks of paint that build up over a period of time in the paint booths of the auto manf. This particular pen is made from Ford Detroit plant.
Takes Parker style refills.
Comes with COA and presentation box along with a small off cut of material pen was made from.
It takes a long time, sometimes years for the paint to build up thick enough to be usable size for making pens.
It is hand turned on my lathe & with a 15 step process sanded & polished to 12,000 grit to a glass like finish. It is a unique one of a kind gift that you will not see another like it.
