TITLE: Guardian of the Meadow

KNOWLEDGE, WISDOM AND INSIGHT: "Each moment of the year has its own beauty." --Ralph Waldo Emerson

There's a special park in eastern New York state called Ward Pound Ridge Reservation that will forever hold a piece of my heart. My favorite place there was a giant meadow where a grass called little blue stem danced in the wind like waves on water and a majestic oak tree stood sentinel, a witness to all of nature's magic. In the spring the spotted fawns rested in its shade, in summer its branches sheltered birds, in autumn its leaves looked they were on fire and in winter, the naked branches were often painted white with snow. When finally this ancient tree crashed to the ground from a storm that was too much for it to handle, I cried great tears, a friend lost to me forever.

Do you know someone who loves nature? Who enjoys being outside, regardless of the weather, in any season? Perhaps this is the perfect gift for her/him! This custom set of 4 images will make a great addition to any room of the house.

MEDIUM: PRINTS

PRINT DETAILS: This listing is for an unmatted and unframed open edition print that is created from an original image taken by me. The photographs will be printed on professional museum-quality photographic paper using archival inks that will resist fading for 100+ years. The Fujicolor Crystal Archive Professional Photo Paper delivers the highest quality prints with vibrant colors, deep blacks, and exceptional skin tone reproduction and has beautifully saturated colors, a subtle texture, and a slight sheen without being glossy. Optimized silver halide crystals and superb color image stability make this Fujifilm's longest lasting paper line yet.

Please note that colors may vary slightly due to difference in monitors.

PRINT SIZES: 8x12, 12x18, 16x24 (Please note, this set is not available in the traditional sizes of 8x10 and 16x20 because those sizes do not preserve the 2 to 3 ratio and would need to be cropped, thus cutting off part of the essential tree)

ORIENTATION: Horizontal

SHIPPING: Smaller prints will be shipped flat in a padded envelope. Larger prints will ship rolled in hotsell a cardboard tube.

NOTES: The watermark seen at the bottom of the listing will NOT BE PRESENT.

SIZING ARTWORK TIPS TO MAKE YOUR SPACES LOOK MORE POLISHED:
--For art over a sofa: Art should be 2/3 to 3/4th the width of the sofa. It should never be wider than the couch. It should be hung 6-12 inches above the top of the sofa.

--For artwork over a fireplace: Your artwork should not be smaller than the fireplace's opening. Hang piece 3-6 inches above mantle.

--General hanging tips: Interior designers recommend putting the center of the art piece 57-60 inches above the floor--this is eye level... but of course, if you are taller, this won't be true. If your ceilings are higher this height might not be right so like many rules, this is not a hard and fast rule as it's YOUR house so it needs to make YOU happy! In general, the larger the artwork, the lower it can be hung.

--One of the biggest mistakes beginners make is choosing artwork that is TOO SMALL for this space...when in doubt, go larger!

--Groups of artwork should be hung only a few inches apart of they look together rather than disconnected pieces. If the pieces are medium to large, the spacing should be 2-3 inches apart. If they are smaller pieces, 1.5-2.5 inches will look better. Even if your pieces are not the same size, it is still better to hang them with this spacing.

--A hint for hanging groups of photos on a wall is to trace the frames on a piece of paper first. Then, using painter's tape, hang the paper shapes to see how to arrange them. THEN, make your holes!
