This ivory-coloured earthenware teapot was made in the cube shape and the Sadler back-stamp dates it 1930 - 40's. It stands 6" high to the top of the lid finial x 9 1/2" from spout to handle. Embossed scroll-work as well as the handle, spout and lid are lavishly decorated with gold and this pot holds 4 cups of tea. The fresh fruit pattern is featured on both side panels and colours are clear and bright. There hotsell is minor wear to the gold in places and clean crazing noted inside the teapot and around the inside rim. Small imperfections common to period manufacturing are seen as well as a couple of fleabites and roughness inside the lid (see pic. #8). This pretty teapot is numbered and signed by the artist and ready to add to your collection. The price includes shipping within North America.
