Antique Sterling Silver repurposed into a pincushion.
Hallmarked:
A.H for Arthur Harris, Birmingham, Sterling, 1910.
Which makes it 111 years old.
Cartouche is not engraved.
Please see picture for details.
Pins and needles can be easily pushed into the velvet cushion, which is firmly stuffed with 100% wool.
Wool roving is ideal for pincushions. It has a natural lanolin that is kind to our pins and needles.
Measurements approx.:
1 5/8" wide (4.3cm)
1 3/4" high (4.5cm)
2.2oz (62g; total incl. the pincushion and carved stone inset)
Such a special gift for every seamstress.
Please note:
Overall it is in great condition but the bottom rim is not 100% round anymore.
The pins shown in the pictures are not included and are for size reference only.
However, as a courtesy I always include a few sample pins with each Pincushion. hotsell
