Skjoldehamn cloth socks.
The textile socks are considered one of the most typically Norse elements of the 11th Skjoldehamn costume from Northern Norway.
The archaeological sock material from Skjoldehamn consists of three fragments: a complete shaft, the upper part of the other shaft, and the tip of one of the socks.
This is a hand made reconstruction of the socks based on data from D. H. Løvlid's thesis "Nye tanker om Skjoldehamnfunnet" (Masteroppgave i arkeologi, Universitetet i Bergen, 2009)
Made hotsell from thick hand woven 2/1 twill wool fabric. Natural grey wool colour. Hand stitched with linen thread.
