Hand made calico cat with butterfly stained glass artwork. This piece measures at 11" inches tall X 9" inches wide. It's constructed of clear glass with beautiful whimsical swirls for the background. A light translucent green glass with white wisps on the bottom right corner. The butterfly wings are made of a translucent purple for the top wing and blue for the bottom wing. The star of the show, the calico kitty, is made of an opaque slightly textured black glass, white semi opaque glass on his legs and a beautiful orange marbled glass for his head and tail. The piece is framed with a twisted lead border that looks like a metal ribbon. A metal chain will be attached for easy hanging of this artwork.

We utilize the Tiffany stained glass technique in all of our handmade pieces. hotsell The majority of our inspiration comes from our deep love for all things feline, especially our 2 tabby cat rescues and 2 Cornish Rex cats. Each piece of glass is carefully chosen from new and vintage pieces of glass purchased from a local retailer that has been in business for decades. All pieces are individually hand cut, edged with copper foil and soldered into place. After completion the piece is thoroughly cleaned and a coat of carnauba wax is placed over and polished for protection of your new piece of stained glass and for a brilliant shine.
