About triacetate fabric:
Fabric made from triacetate fibre is known for its ability to hold a pleat or fold, and hence used in the creation of skirts and dresses. It is shrink and wrinkle resistant, easily washable, and can be washed at high temperatures. The fabric can be ironed at higher temperatures than acetate. It is resistant to grease, oil, aromas and many solvents.
Triacetate is made by combining acetate with a cellulose pulp. This produced a fibre which enhances certain of the properties already found in acetate and diminishes somewhat some of the weaknesses of acetate. Triacetate is used to make a variety of fabrics, including antique satin, antique taffeta, brocade, faille, flannel, jersey, moiré, sharkskin, suede, taffeta, terry cloth, tricot, panne velour, and velvet.
Garments made with triacetate can be machine washed and dried without difficulty.
