A lovely antique pair of Edwardian silver brooches, made from a converted nurse's buckle and dated to 1902. A rare and unusual find! The engraved silver is delicately worked in an Art Nouveau style.
It is nice to find these two matching brooches still together so I have to offer them as a pair! The buckle parts have been removed and the C clasps added, probably a long time ago. They are hallmarked Birmingham 1902 by the maker Arthur Cook, working out of Carver Street between 1901 and 1904.
Measurements: Each is 2 inches / 5.2 cms at widest and slightly smaller in length. 24g weight together.
Condition: Good, light wear, C clasps are sturdy and work well.
All postage is tracked to ensure arrival. Hopefully you will love your item but I offer a no-quibble refund if it hotsell isn't quite what you wanted!
